PACE Method in Stages
The development of PACE’s Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Technology model occurs in stages.
It is first implemented through an online learning management system where students login to take courses and read manuals that are continuously updated. Upon passing the online material through exams and quizzes and verified content watching, students pass through to the next stage.
Live workshops with PACE faculty and instructors to present students with physical, manikin based exercises that are designed to increase one’s skills in an particular health situation; be it in an emergency or community setting. Students then have to pass a live test with the proper protocols on the manikins.
Following the live course, students are offered the chance to continue developing their knowledge and skills in abilities and wisdom. They are invited to interact with mentors, national and international PACE faculty, in the Project ECHO tele-mentoring program, thereby enriching their practice with case based instruction.
